So, for 6th form, I usually keep my makeup quite minimal for a variety of reasons; namely that I'm really awful at getting out of bed and the half an hour that I've wasted pretending it's still 4am has to be cut from somewhere in my routine. This is what I've been wearing recently and I find that if I don't know what makeup to do, this will work with any outfit for any season!
For my base, I've been using L'Oreal True Match foundation, it could do with being a little paler still, but then I've pretty much given up on finding a foundation to match my skin tone in the drugstore. Many days though, I'll skip this and go straight to concealer- Nars Creamy Concealer in Chantilly. Honestly, although a bit hesitant at first to pay £22 for something that I go through at a rate of knotts, this is the only concealer that I've tried that a) Is pale enough b) Covers my under eye circles and spots and c) Isn't too thick and crease-y all at the same time!
I then move on to eyebrows- even if I'm having a no makeup day I still fill my eyebrows in, it makes such a difference to my face! I'm currently using the Soap and Glory Archery Brow Tint and Precision Shaping Pencil (long name) in Love is Blonde and I really love it! I like my eyebrows to be filled in and defined yet still natural looking and this pencil certainly delivers on that.
When in a rush, cream eyeshadows are the bees' knees! Illamasqua Vintage Metallix Cream Eyeshadow in Courtier is abeautiful pink with a little iridescent blue sparkle- I just love this colour. It stays on through the day, although sometimes I add a little UD Primer Potion underneath. I also love doing a simple cat flick using Soap and Glory Supercat eyeliner to make the eyes seem a little more polished and put together.
Continuing on the base, I currently adore Stila's Convertible Colour in Magnolia- it's an easy everyday blush that slightly contours my face. I don't do this step everyday, cos' you know- sleeping! On top of this and around my t-zone I dust a tad of the Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder to prolong my makeup and de-shine.
Finally, after mascara (Clinique's High Impact Mascara is good) I add a little lipstick or tinted lip balm. This changes the most out of my makeup, but a failsafe is always Mac Lipstick in Peach Blossom or Korres Lip Butter in Quince.
