Recent Primark Finds

So, this isn't a haul as such, because well, most of the stuff I've bought I'm not mentioning as it isn't the most interesting (it was mainly clothes and shoes and stuff) But, I thought that these two finds would interest people as a) they were amazing prices and b) they weakly link to beauty blogging. (Makeup bag and you can read blogs on your phone?!)

Firstly, is this gorgeous makeup bag which is a light blue and pink paisley print sort-of faux leather. It's spacious and feminine and is just all round fantastic! It certainly doesn't look like it cost only £4. I definitely think it's perfect for holding all my toiletries for when I go travelling, and really can a girl have too many makeup bags? Probably not. Agh! I just love it! It's so cute and pastel-ly, I'm so glad I managed to pick this up.

And secondly, is this light pink, hard phone case for just £3! I'm not usually a pink kinda gal (much prefer blue!) but I just couldn't resist this little gem. I'd been admiring a similar one elsewhere for about £12-or maybe £15; and I just couldn't justify that price. I'm really happy with this purchase and makes my non-existent list of top primark purchases. (Note: this is to fit iPhone 5 and 5s)

Burt's Bees 'Refreshing' Lip Balm

Now, I've always loved lip balms. It was the first 'makeup' type thing that I got into and I had a collection that any 10-12 yr old would be proud of- I mean, with scents like 'spiced cookie' you just can't go wrong, can you? But surprisingly, until recently, I'd never tried any Burt's Bees lipbalms! My kind friend, here, bought this for me when out shopping a few weeks ago (knowing my love of sweet-smelling things) and I've used it nearly everyday since.

Now, I'm under no illusion, Burt's Bees Refreshing balm isn't a heavy duty moisturising lip balm, and so isn't suitable if you're trying to repair chapped, damaged lips- although they do an 'ultra conditioning' lipbalm which I want to try for winter. However, it is the perfect lipbalm to carry round with you for topping up during the day. What I like about this is that unlike some balms, I actually feel like this is sinking into my lips and nourishing them. Also, I love that it comes in the tube form, as I hate having to dip my fingers into a pot when I'm busy. Furthermore, (furthermore?!) it adds a little healthy shine to my lips, but not a slick, ultra glossy shine which I don't really like in a lipbalm (I'd use a lipgloss for that effect!), so this gets a thumbs up from me. And... finally, the reason I've been carrying this round with me lately instead of one of my others is the delightful refreshing scent! It's a beautiful citrus or 'pink grapefuit' wonder that isn't too sweet or too tart- perfect for summer! (Bear in mind though, that this doesn't actually taste of anything- and yes, I did try!) However, if this scent isn't for you, they have several others in the collection, which I really want to try out now!

Currently Loving #1- Benefit 'Bikini-tini'

So, I've decided to start a series called 'Currently Loving' where every couple of weeks I talk about a product that I've been... well, Currently Loving! This is the first post in the series, so be sure to tell me in the comments if you think it's a good idea! (I've also changed my blog design, and I'm not completely happy with it yet, but it's certainly an improvement.)

This is benefit's creaseless eye cream in 'Bikini-tini' and is the miniature size that came in my 'Bronze of Champions' set. Although it's a miniature, it will definitely last me a while! Benefit describes it as 'oyster pink', I would probably call it a 'champagne-meets-shell-meets-pinky-toned-white' which is probably not the best colour description!

I've been loving this all over my lid either on its own or another colour blended into the crease (like Urban Decay's 'buck') and has been my go-to wash of colour for the past couple of weeks. Truly though, this looks lovely all over the lid with a couple of coats of mascara for a beautiful spring look that looks like you've put far more effort in than you actually have! I'm certainly going to buy the full size of this when it runs out; and I've also got my eye on cult favourites RSVP and Birthday Suit! They aren't cheap at £15.50, but I think it's worth it as they're so blendable and last nearly all day without creasing (without using a primer either!) Plus, they'll probably last you years, and I know I'd definitely get the use out of them- or at least that's what I keep telling myself to try to justify wanting to buy them so much!
